fun walks, new haircut, fence project

I love the way Stella and Adrien play together
Adrien brought over his train tracks to Stella's room and showed her how to use them.  She was more interested in dressing up like a conductor & playing with the basket but they were both happy anyway :)

You gotta love Texas when it's 85 degrees one day and 40 the next :) The kids enjoyed the sandbox this week and Stella went to feed the ducks for the first time while Adrien was taking his Taekwondo class

She loved the ducks and tried to imitate their quacking

My cool babies enjoyed a ride around the community - the sun was bright so we all had our shades :)

a little playtime after dinner -

 my little sous chef
 my little worker :)
Everyone was outside today , the girls were playing and the boys busy working !
Christophe is replacing the fence - we will stain it later on.  Adrien is building tables, houses...various projects with the leftover wood

On my birthday this year I decided to make things happen this year and challenged myself to accomplish all the things I've always wanted to do.
-  I updated my resume and sent it out.  My goal is to start working part time teaching at the local university and that way I can start my PHD in a few years.
- In January I asked Andrea, my friend who is a talented hairstylist :), if she thought I could pull off a shorter hairstyle, I was ready for a change.  She sent me a couple of options and I finally had my haircut this weekend, so here is the result:   it's asymetrical, longer on one side and really short in the back.  I feel very comfortable with it.  It's a nice change.   The kids and Christophe loved it which made me feel good :)

before  shot                                            After shot - my new hairstyle -
                                                                                                 thanks  to  ANDREA :)

We decided on Saturday afternoon to call our babysitter for that evening, luckily she was free so we enjoyed a nice fondue dinner at the melting pot and had a wonderful & relaxing evening :)

At the end the month I am doing the LOZILU MUD RUN with some of my old stroller strides friends, I have been wanting to try it so I am super excited for the race ! If I get pics I will definitely post them :)

What other challenges/changes ?  You will have to wait & see . . .  ;)

The last 2 weeks

Adrien loves making up stories and obstacle courses, here is one of them
Stella eating a homemade banana cocoa oatmeal cookie :)
 a little morning snuggle

 playing together

a fun nature walk with Brady, Jake and Amber

a trip to costco got us boxes ...the kids thought they were the coolest ships , they played with the boxes for a long time !

Stella wants to wear Adrien's clothes, hats and gloves ...
and they both play together really well.  They just create little messes everywhere around them in the house :)

Checking out the pool - we changed the tiles , fixed a leak and got a new plaster
Christophe started a few projects in the backyard : moving the sandbox closer to the playarea and
painting the fence.  He has 2 little helpers happy to assist him :)

Stella had another playdate with her friend Isabella, they had a wonderful time !
They "baked" together, pushed each other on the baby stroller, played ball, and enjoyed little snacks.

Adrien is sweet, he lets Stella tag along when he plays with his buddy Blake at the park.
The kids had fun this weekend playing with the sand, once the sand box was moved,
they could still play with the leftover sand

Cricri digging for the new spot for the sandbox
We all enjoyed a cool sunny day :)
We 've never had so many people in the pool.  It was fun to watch them poor the new plaster in
and see how they make it all smooth.

I caught Stella red handed !  This is what happens a couple of times a day.
Whenever I cook, Stella just helps herself in the kitchen and gets utensils, cutting board,
pans from the drawers ... We need to add a few more baby locks in the kitchen !
