Girls trip to the rescue!

The last few months have taken a toll on me and although I stopped talking about it, I am definitely still healing my wounds from both miscarriages. I always try to push it away but it sneaks back up on me . It's time to face it and acknowledge it. There! Done.

I've really relied on all my friends to help me from feeling alone, and the play-dates, lunches, and fun outings have helped me a lot the last few weeks. I would always miss the Moms Night Out though, which I SO needed, so my short little trip was a great solution for me. It was nice to be part of the group. I still have moments where I withdraw a little from conversations depending on the topics (pregnancies, how many kids we have/want ... still awkward for me, but " It's a work in progress". At least if I'm honest about it, it can only get better. Right ? Right. . . :)

So this long paragraph was simply to explain that I REALLY needed something fun and out of the ordinary. The girls trip to Austin was just what I needed. I attended the enhanced instructor training for Stroller Strides Instructors. Maggie was so generous and offered to treat her instructors to the hotel room and drove us all there. ROAD TRIP !! Woohoo !!

We stopped at the famous little Czek stop on the way where I got to enjoy the delicious "Kolache" . (we also stopped on the way back and I got to bring some home for my boys)

the next morning we were all excited to get our butt kicked by Farel , the National Fitness Director for Stroller Strides - we all think she's AMAZING :) She was very inspiring and gave us 3 fun and challenging workouts that day plus lots of information and new exercises . . . I am so excited to share them all with our moms !!

I should have done a close up on our nails, we all painted them black to show our team spirit :)
I have to say I was so impressed to meet other instructors - it was a wonderful experience and I am always amazed to meet fit, fun and interesting moms who share the same passion for life and motherhood. Stroller Strides is my support group, my favorite fitness program, my personal cheerleader, my sunshine on a cloudy day. ... it's the sweetest and most exquisite taste of confidence with no calories ;) I think you get the picture. I love it !
What do you do after three hard workouts ? You go and enjoy a delicious BBQ meal at Rudy's smokehouse with a nice cold beer. Seriously though I am so excited to know they'll have one soon in Arlington, they have the best cream of corn and cole slaw I've EVER had and my baby back ribs were really good as well. I felt so Texan there ;)
On the highway we saw a sign for the Round Rock Premium Outlets and just had to stop by for an hour or so of shopping before we headed back home. No kids to check on, just freedom to shop and walk around ! It was lots of fun and it allowed us to spend a little more time together ;)

My sweet Adrien had a blast with his dad ! He was happy to see me and gave the sweetest welcome back hug, when I told him I loved him " je t' aime" he patted my back gently and said "aime" so I said it again and he said it again . . . SO SWEET !!!
It was raining and cloudy on Sunday but we were all very happy to be together again !

My sweet husband Christophe was wonderful. He not only took great care of Adrien but he also cleaned the whole house (bathrooms, vaccuum, counters. .. ) EVERYTHING !! When I came back on Saturday night I was speechless and so excited !!! I am so lucky! I really appreciate everything he's done. We don't always have/take time to be just us anymore but I am just so thankful that I get to share my life with him. He really is my ultimate best friend and I love him dearly. Je t' aime mon ange! Merci pour tout!
